What is TollBooth?
TollBooth is a service available to our customers supporting wireless HotSpot locations around the world. This service does not require any special software or hardware at the location, instead, operates using standard “off-the-shelf” Access Control devices to control access to the public Internet at each location. With TollBooth, our customers can quickly create 100% custom branded web pages that are displayed when users attempt to access the public internet at a HotSpot location, retail plans which are presented to the users who can sign-up for service using the most popular plans (Monthly Subscription; PayGo; and Pre-Paid Card), process Credit Card payments, and provides a “Customer Self-care Portal” where users can go to self-administer their user account. Administrators of the TollBooth system can control the system conveniently from a web browser anywhere in the world.

What are the benefits of TollBooth?
TollBooth allows our customers to quickly setup and deploy wireless HotSpots by integrating with several customer-provided off-the-shelf Access Control Units and providing a simple-to-use Administration Portal that allows customers to create custom branded login pages, retail pricing plans, Credit Card Processing, reports, and a “Customer Self-Care Portal” to easily support their business and customers.

How quickly can I setup a HotSpot location?
Once you are setup as our customer, you can setup a location as quickly as you can configure your ACU. Our easy-to-use Administration Portal is available 24 hours a day for quick and easy self-configuration. Our customers have setup their locations as quickly as 5 minutes!

Can I create my own branded service?
Absolutely! Our customers can create their own branded service using TollBooth. We do not appear on any "end-user" elements. Branded elements include the Login, Agreement and Logout pages, Retail Signup Pages, Customer Self-care Portal and all Credit Card receipts. AuthDirect is truely your "backoffice" provider and is not an end-user brand.

Can I take a "Test Drive" to see how your TollBooth system works before I signup?

How do you charge for the Tollbooth service?
AuthDirect offers a simple pricing structure for the TollBooth service. Unlike several backoffice providers, TollBooth uses flat-rate pricing. Prices start well below the "25% revenue share" structure that is common in today's marketplace and volume pricing discounts are available.

How do my customers pay for my HotSpot service?
Our customers maintain their own credit card merchant accounts that integrate with our TollBooth system. Any payments and credits are posted directly to *your* merchant account which *you* control. By the way, AuthDirect bills for our fees at the end of every calendar month and we do not collect our fees directly from your merchant account.

How do I setup a Credit Card Merchant account with your Service?
AuthDirect built an interface into TollBooth that can work with external Credit Card Merchant Accounts via partners offering low processing fees. To setup a merchant account, please contact one of our pertners listed below. Once your account is established, you only need to enter your account credentials in the TollBooth system to begin processing credit cards through our system.
